  • looking at bits for my singular peregrine which is on order. eying up some middleburn ro2s to run 2x and will run a grx rear mech. What bcd spider do i want to ensure i'll be able to easily get 30ish & 46ish t chainrings? They do 110, 94 and 130 bcd double road spiders or a 110/58 BCD one.
if I go 110 I can get these

    cheers

edit - do 9/10 speed chainrings work okay on 11s or do you definitely need 11s specific?

  • I've used a 94 spider and TA rings to get that sort of setup before and would recommend that over the other options.

The rings you've linked have a weird mounting system to get the 30t to fit. 33t is the smallest ring you can fit on a 5 arm 110 bcd pattern with regular chainring bolts. Had a look around and they have "solved" this by tapping smaller screws into the 30t ring directly.

Edit: many edits after looking for some images online

  • Sweet thanks! Have dropped the manufacturer an email too to ask, though they'll probably want me to buy their chainrings

  • In reply to this... Can anyone recommend any available 11sp 46-30 or 48-32 94bcd chainrings?
