Perez was no longer ahead of Verstappen at the restart after V. pitted.
Tbf they could've just changed his tyres to achieve the same.
Why wouldn't they just have him pull off track? Don't think he'd be doing anything to hold up Verstappen
I don't know.
When they retired him it seemed like there'd be 4 or 5 more lapped cars between V & H, so one less car to pass by removing Perez from that queue, as easily as he'd move aside it's still distance back.
