Hulsroy's Hustle

For the All Road I got these Ritchey fork which I adore, but I am pretty annoyed that the threaded insert for mudguards is on the back side of the fork crown. Came across this mini rack which is a pretty clever solution I might copy. But I am not sure I need a rack. I just need a place to put my dynamo light to begin with.

In relation to dynamo lights it looks like the rear light for lost in mail :(

Hydraulic brakes from Shimano makes me happy. Reach is pretty good for tiny hands.
Disc tabs are pretty much spot on and everything will be fine ☺️

I’ve got that dynamo light, it’s sick!

I did open it up and secure some bits with sugru. Mine was a little bit rattly

I have the same setting as you on my hardtail. Coming from Supernova, I found the beam as good but slightly more white. Haven't tried yet at night but only under the dark Briton clouds.

I had something similar done by fairbairnfabrications (Paul) in aluminium, slightly wider and thicker than yours. Worked brilliantly but I sold this bike so dunno longer terms resistance.

edit: perhaps having yours to close to the carbon fork might cause damage because of the rattling/vibrations?

I made one exactly the same but used a B+M IQX and it was terrible. The beam bounced all over the place. Might be a heavier light though

I might just make a stem and let it dangle from there.

the one I pictured above was sturdy AF and very light. have used it for 2 British winters without issue.

No this is done in the vise with some different little tricks. It is not perfect and when I go for a thicker rod next time I am going to have make a bender.

Rear mudguard mounted. I need shorten the stays slightly.

Have you gone full JH and used tube instead of rod for the stays?

No solid 6mm rod. Heavy but sturdy!

Had the exact same problem, except the hole for mine was underneath the fork crown. The bike manufacturer sold a 3D printed alumide bracket which I wasn't happy with. Got a friend to mill one from aluminum, a bit thicker than @Albb 's, but I wasn't too happy with it either (not sure I even tried it tbh, it needed some additional work with a file that I never took the time to do).

Very happy with my solution (not my work, got that done by a local framebuilder), which looks exactly like the one in your pictures :

I like it better than simply having a bracket, as having a third fixation point for the mudguard is super useful, and the wires run neatly inside the "rack". Haven't mounted my Edelux yet, still waiting for Son to restock on their coax cables unfortunately.
