Nah, one of these.

A bit like rice cookers, you'll find one in almost every home in cultures that eat lots of eggs. It was my Polish relatives who put me on to them.

They come with a little measuring cup, that says soft, medium and hard on the side. Fill to the appropriate line, turn on, and a buzzer tells you when your eggs are cooked to perfection.

Soft boiled eggs - bring water to the boil, put in eggs, set timer for 6 minutes, done.

I was about to lay in to you savages, poaching your eggs in bizarre devices. Then I remembered I occasionally poach eggs in cling film so I have no claim to egg superiority.

Also Poachpods are great. Much less faff than doing poached eggs in a saucepan of water.

affectionately referred to as the egg boobies in our house. cleaning bits out of egg jizz out of a saucepan can fucking do one. the boobies are jizz free.

I’ve moved away from plastic in cooking. We had those, and they reeked. And then stank even more when heated.

Unborn chicken children are an ingredient and should never be eaten unless combined with real food, regardless of the utensils they are cooked in.
