That sucks.
I was going to buy an Xmas present the other off amazon, checked in with my OH and then the price had jumped. Just so annoying for not just jumping on it.

I'm fucking sick of the rain.
My motorbike cover blew off at the weekend and I've been waiting all week for it to dry off. By the time the kids were in bed it was pissing down again. I'd checked my weather app in the morning, but hadn't looked all the way into the evening, as I thought we were done for a bit.

Hmm possible algorithm tracking you and ratcheting up the price if you linger? Maybe try an incognito window or a different computer/internet access point and see if the price is the 'old' one. Anyway, another reason to avoid Amazon if at all possible

This.
Dropped my membership a couple of years ago. Accept the real price of things, not the forced discounts that amazon et al force on makers.

Agree completely. Also when everything is a “masterpiece” according to the comments

Gah!
Also annoying (and related, in this instance) is when eBay sellers list something with offers allowed, but clearly have no intention of accepting anything more than 1% off the b.I.n.
Fairly sure I’ve whined about this before but it bears repeating. -

XDP courier company.
I was unaware this blight on humanity existed, they've been sat on our
new furniture at the delivery depot for a week with no sign of
attempting a delivery. one item was estimated for yesterday, other is
due tomorrow. we have a removals van coming to move the stuff from
here to our new place on sunday. if they're not on it, it's going to
be fucking impossible to transport them without hiring a van.miracle of miracles, they turned up (completely unannounced) at the literal last opportunity before they would have completely fucked our moving plans. I'm sure the fact i called wayfair to change the delivery address to 20 miles further from the depot had nothing to do with it (though wayfair told me it had been changed on the web chat only to immediately send me an email to say that wasn't true when the chat ended).
now just need to figure out where we're going to sit for next 3 weeks over christmas/nye

Cooking boiled eggs. And before everyone starts with their food blog style how-to's, including a humble brag wank off about getting the freshest eggs from their neighbour's prise winning hawk crested saggy tits, it's the overall high stakes nature of the exercise.I've got the added jeopardy of making my kids ones cool enough to safely eat while making sure mine are still adult temperature. The solution I've found is to put theirs in cold water and then mine in the boiling water. But as an eg, this morning I forgot to crack the tops of theirs to stop them overcooking while I did mine, so they ended up semi-hard.Mine were fine, and TBH they don't really gaf, but the failure still gets to me.Letting inconsequential things get to me.

Boiling eggs winds me right up to. I feel like I’d need a complicated chart, cross-referencing water temp, cook time, egg size, egg freshness, proximity to leyline, in order to get anywhere near a semblance of consistency.
About 1 in every 6 times I ask, my kids express interest in scrambled eggs instead of dippy egg, and I breath a massive sigh of relief.

Get an egg cooker! Cooked precisely how you want it, every single time!
At this point I'm bundling egg cooker and rice cooker deniers in with Covid deniers.

I moved over to poached eggs, because you've got more visibility and flexibility.

I hope you don't mean one of these:
Because that bundles you in with people who put their tinned spagbol on toast and mix coke with red wine. -

How so, I’ve had one for 20+ years and love it.

How about poachpods? Am I allowed those with my beans on toast?

When you dither about buying something, then finally decide to pull the trigger only to find it’s just gone out of stock.
Currently livid. (At myself obvs)
