At this point I'm bundling egg cooker and rice cooker deniers in with Covid deniers.

Cook rice in a small cast iron pot. Boil eggs in the same fucking pot.
If you can’t cook rice or boil an egg (seriously, how hard is it to time five minutes?) you should not be permitted to have access to a kitchen.

Boiling eggs winds me right up to. I feel like I’d need a complicated chart, cross-referencing water temp, cook time, egg size, egg freshness, proximity to leyline, in order to get anywhere near a semblance of consistency.
About 1 in every 6 times I ask, my kids express interest in scrambled eggs instead of dippy egg, and I breath a massive sigh of relief.
