Hey sorry to hear you're closing, hope it's a positive thing for all concerned.
Are you selling any workshop bits, tools etc or just parts / accessories?

You're kidding right? They have been dropping like flies all over London. It's become extremely hard to make any money.

Really? I thought that with the surge of cycling during the pandemic bike shops would be essentials. I guess it's all about online shopping?

even small businesses online are struggling, many customers buy and return products, and that itself costs a lot to the independent stores (shipping costs, refunding, time consumption) every little helps in the long run.

Always disappointing to hear a bike shop go down , as I think we all dream a little about having one . Still in shock over my dream. Shop from being a kid which was Geoffrey butler cycles. Anyone know if there will be an mtb stuff being sold off, as I need a one drivetrain - fat chance I imagine

I've spoken to shop owners who are doing well and also ones who are doing really badly.
There's a lot of work out there but it's totally dependent on whether the shop has the components so they can actually carry out the work.
The shops who have squirrelled away components and have a good relationship with their suppliers are getting on by, the ones that were unable to are now shutting up.
Shops are being asked by their suppliers to put in orders for components that will arrive in 2023! Fine if you have money saved that can put put towards items you won't see for over a year but many business owners do not have this luxury.
Shops are finding it as hard as it is for us when trying to find consumables such as chains or cassettes.

For any specific tool, ask Ed. He's the lord of the workshop these days. We've put a lot of extra stock on the shop floor tonight. Ask a staff member for a price.
Feel free to pop in, have a look, say goodbye!

Can confirm that when they say heavily discounted, they mean it. You won’t find a better price for new stuff, full stop.

Sorry to hear this news.
Would any of it be available with postage by any chance? -

WFH must have taken a huge toll on bike shops on commuter routes like Exmouth Mkt
