Does it get out on a technicality?
I often take NDS pics because I know it winds people up. It's an illness... for both parties.

I think in this case it's a double driveside win

I really want a ssmtb in my life...
I may get a frame builder to put as dropouts on my 1997 spesh rockhopper...
-
• #4058
Can you not do something less involved like magic gear with a half link or filed dropouts or a more expensive option in ENO hub rear wheel or just use a tensioner? SS without needing a framebuilder and reversible (maybe don't lengthen the dropouts).
-
• #4059
I've used a tensioner many times and its been fine to be honest but I like the idea of "once you've done this you can't go back" situations...
If you have a ENO rear hub for cheap I'll listen...

I owned one many years ago and sold it BNIB, soz.
I'm the opposite. I leave stuff as 'unfucked' as possible, ie. I don't cut seatposts, the steerer on the Shiv is still too long, etc

Ah yes I understand that.... But I'm known for my quick decision making in situations but then possibly regretting the choice I made shortly after but living with the consequences.
You can never take too many risks

You might make a quick decision but my way would have it SS quicker than waiting for a framebuilder. By the time you get it back I've already gone ss, hated it, put gears back on and then sold it on ebay for double my money as a "retro vintage gravel bike awsome rad" or something. :P

Fully committing and then changing your mind is the only way

riding a steep drop off
If I never do this I never have to commit. Problem solved.
-
• #4066
Ah, but you are fully committed to not doing it
-
• #4067
But I'll not change my mind so I'm then only fulfilling half of your original requirements.
-
• #4068
It wouldn't be changing your mind at the last minute if you knew about it now
-
• #4069
But changing my mind was the only way, so I'd have to go into it committed not to do it and then do it, so as to change my mind and then the pair of original requirements would be complete.

Were you a scriptwriter on Matrix Reloaded?

This is what happens when I go from hangry to deliveroo fucking up and sending me a double order that was already a stupid order because I was just adding shit to get 40% off. Combination of sugar crash, rage, manic hilarity and a need to kill time while I gathered the evidence for a refund...
