Yep that's not enough unless it's the chair that everyone in the world wants right now and another batch won't be available until space year 2024.

That seems pretty odd and especially just before Xmas. Is it an online only store? I have found them less easy to deal with but still for what you are describing would seem fine. I know it’s full Karen mode but did you ask to speak to the store manager?

Looking at an ex display chair, minor chipping to feet. 25% discount on retail isn't really enough is it? I've managed 20% on new stuff before just by asking. I pushed for 30% on this, or free delivery (same difference), and the cheery northern lass on the phone wasn't amenable, grumble grumble.
