I currently use a wattbike in a gym with the Wattbike app that's linked to it. Pretty bored of the sessions on this app; is there a free app that works on Android that I can use to create workouts that will link to the Wattbike? Or do I have to pay for something like Trainerroad to do this?

On Zwift, what does this vertical bar and these up/down arrows do? Not noticed them before. It’s not the up/down for percentage difficult of workout, it’s another set to the right.

Is it trainer %, where you can turn up/down the resistance? Maybe not. That was in the Settings: https://zwiftinsider.com/using-the-trainer-difficulty-setting-in-zwift/
Is it in a workout? "Page Up/Down: adjust workout % intensity (aka “FTP bias”) during a workout"
-
• #4232
In ERG those arrows increase and decrease bias by percentage.
The bar I’ve not noticed before
-
• #4233
Never mind the bar, there's a dinosaur!!
-
• #4234
It’s not workout % intensity, that’s the set to the left of these.
It’s not trainer difficulty either as I went into settings and compared.
-
• #4235
So setting to zero is standard?
-
• #4236
100% is standard, then you can increase/decrease by up to 10% I believe.
But that’s the same thing hippy mentioned, workout intensity. Are you saying you’ve got 2 sets of up down arrows?
-
• #4237
This seems to imply it adjusts intensity so I assume that is the same as the "ftp bias" thing I mentioned.
https://www.smartbiketrainers.com/use-erg-mode-zwift-4293
Adjust Workout Intensity Using Zwift Companion App
Use Zwift Companion app. When in workout mode, you will see a dedicated Workout screen as you see below.
When ERG is ON, you can use the BIAS button to adjust intensity. You can increase or decrease it by +/-10%.
You an also skip a certain block but swipping left or right and tap the “SKIP” button. You can also control the intensity with the following:
On iPad/iPhone, tap the screen and a menu will appear from the bottom of the screen. You will see up/down arrows that you can use to adjust workout intensity.
On Apple TV, using the remote control, swipe up and a menu will appear from the bottom of the screen. You will see up/down arrows that you can use to adjust workout intensity.
On a PC, click the arrow up button on your keyboard to bring up the bottom menu. You will see up/down arrows that you can use to adjust workout intensity. -

Yes, just yesterday another set of arrows appeared, which adjust the vertical bar circled beside the main display.

up/down arrows that you can use to adjust workout intensity.
Those are the arrows to the left. It’s another set of arrows to the right of the ERG intensity

That looks more like a UI error to me.
Who would put two sets of identical up/down arrows in one place doing different things? -
• #4241
Software engineers?
-
• #4242
Software engineer wouldn't do that. We have processes to stop mistakes like that being released.
That's some bargain basement javascript scumbag.
-
• #4243
That is weird and not on my version of zwift.
Does it adjust slope when not in ERG? What happens when you click them?
-
• #4244
See structured workout action tiles. When erg is disabled you get a second set of arrows to change trainer resistance. https://support.zwift.com/en_us/using-the-heads-up-display-rJepA4beS
In ERG mode, select the up arrow to raise your FTP bias.
If using a trainer with ERG mode disabled, select the second up arrow to raise your trainer's resistance.

That’s it! Thanks

So it's by design and someone thought 4 arrows with no explanation was a good idea?
I'm not a UX guy but that shit would never happen on my watch (or phone, or PC, or..).

I'm a UI guy and I concur.

Selling my Neo 2T and I have just dropped the price by £50 in the time honoured tradition of the boxing day sale.

I have an elite suito that I cannot seem to get erg mode work no matter what I do. I have calibrated using the elite app, I have deinstalled and reinstalled Zwift and I have had Bluetooth turned off on my phone. I connect to Zwift on a Mac book using Bluetooth. I spoke to elite customer service and they were not especially helpful but they said the fault is why Zwift and not their trainer after running some tests. Can anyone help?

Could send you a free month for trainerroad so you can see if their software works and narrow it down to something else?
The last time I bought a Kickr (2019) it came with a Shimano 105 cassette. Not saying you're wrong or anything, but mine was Shim.
Oops. Hippy beat me.
And thanks Hippy.
