Hah, I had the exact opposite: sore arm with the first fizzle jab, tried to keep it minimal use and relaxed and it hurt like hell for a week or so. Mentioned the arm pain when having the second and the jabber said “try to use the arm as much as possible, it helps it go away quicker” so I consciously used it as much as I could and it stopped hurting after a day or so.

Ah - Sounds like we're in government with this clear advice on post jab behaviour.

Furiously

If they do your left arm, it feels like someone else is getting the jab

*cue 3 more people posting that same news story about the Italian bloke trying to get jabbed with the fake arm*

Tried to get a booster today at a walk-in centre, queue was two hours and growing.
Where’s best to go in people’s experience?

I done a 2.25km swimming race the day after my first jab and a 3.6km swimming race the day after my second jab, arm was a bit sore but didn’t stop me from coming 2nd overall in the latter of that two.

Book it? This way you be in and out.
-
• #24362
I have done, but the earliest appointment they'd give me was 5th Jan '22.
Also, that's not true - the place I went to had people who had been queuing for 2 hours for an appointment that they'd made through the NHS website.

Had a message at 9ish today saying I was eligible for booster, booked in for tomorrow and loads of appointments to choose from. Under 40 so was quite surprised to get the text.

Yeah, my girlfriend is 5 years younger than I am, had her second shot 5 days after I did, and had her booster (contacted by the NHS for it) 2 days ago.
Yes, I have vaccine envy.

This morning got the reminder about Friday's 5pm drinks at the Slug and Lettuce. (These are the Christmas drinks, it doesn't happen every Friday). No thanks from me.

Mine was cancelled, thankfully.

Have advised to cancel ours - currently planned for Monday - just can't square it with WFH advice and the risk for fucking up christmas plans for everyone.

Fucking hell, is there’s other location you can go to? I know some may have a shorter waiting times.

Ditto, but I did get jabbed over 3 months ago.

Forgot to say, I had to queue for half an hour to get my booster today despite having an appointment.
There was a separate queue for walk ins, who were being processed intermittently. Some people were getting a bit grumpy with staff about the wait but it was actually moving pretty well.
Apparently there always tends to be a rush between 9am and 10am as so many people with apps turn up early on the off chance of being able to get to work sooner. Thats what somebody at this site in Lewisham said anyway.

Was supposed to have one on Monday and one on Wednesday. Both cancelled 20 minutes ago.

are the guys/st thomas’s centres still open? i had my first jab there as a walk in because i turned 50 over easter and the computer said ‘No’ and the surgery could not jab me until my name was put on the list, despite the announcement “every over 50 has now been offered a jab” days before i had mine. they had 3 huge marquees and that was just at st thomas’s.
i had a booster appointment at rosendale rd 2 weeks ago and queued for an hour as just one jabber was working that day, they turned away walk-ins.
the SE London health authority website is the best source of info as sites were being listed on certain days and then being closed on others, CP football ground was one and Lidl on the old Kent road ?! this was back around second jab time though.

5 months to the day since my second jab, also had positive PCR test dated 16 August so not sure how that affects booster jab. whatever the case just glad its booked.
Tripled pfizered about an hour ago. Feeling good but noticeably a bit spaced out already. No arm pain as yet.
