That could just be that room being too dry, hopefully. But I would still make sure the filters and everything are clean. We have, counterintuitively, a humidifier for the bedroom to counter this.

Just to back up what @stevo_com said, it could be that this is making the room too dry. For the one we've just bought the laundry setting just keeps dehumidifying, whereas the standard (non-laundry) setting cuts out at a fixed humidity (40%-50%) depending on the setting.

Have been using a dehumidifier ourselves but have found that, when doing the "laundry drying" settings, it seems to make our 3yo daughter cough during the night - anyone else found the same?
