Larch. You want to construct it out of larch. I use this place for all of my larch and doug fir needs. You could also make your gate out of doug fir as it's nearly as rot resistant as larch but has better tensile and compressive strength.
Benson's is a sawmill so it will be rough sawn, but excellent quality.
Not sure what their delivery radius is but they've delivered to Hemel Hempstead for me in the past.

None, as everything was coming from a DIY shop, I was considering decking wood as it came with a 5 or 10 year guarantee...but reading the guarantee shows it isn't worth anything.
Looked at an ex display 40mm think door that I was going add to the sides to fit the space....but door sold by the time I'd umm and ahh.
At the mo I have a load of pallet and packing crate wood that I was thinking of making in to a gate.
