Those Wright Brothers parts are worth the current price alone

There's a couple of days left, it might take off yet

Yeh that's fucked. That and my head totalled a transit. Stooge bars are bent also.

Of course he'd say that, ask him what the circumstances he got it in; clever mike did the assessment so you can ask them

I'm absolutely not saying I believe the seller. More amused at their insistence that it's bang on, vs several highly esteemed forum goers' fact-based account.

Sounds like he’s setting himself up to get ripped off. Ebayer buys it, tells eBay it’s a fraudulent sale, eBay refunds them and the seller has to somehow retrieve the bike.
Would serve ‘em right.

Is it possible to report this to the insurance company? They must have instructed someone to destroy the bike and whoever that is has sold it/is selling it.

Rohloff gear system (1.2k rrp approx), son dynamo hub and lights, fairly nice parts and the thorn frameset itself is quite expensive I think 🤷♂️
-
• #65236
Ah, didn't know rohloff was quite so spenny.
Guess the headset spacers in that quantity add up, too.

Sounds fun, but you'd need an HGV licence wouldn't you? Plus too wide and high for a lot of lanes, parking places, camp sites etc. Plus huge taxation cos of the emissions?

So you reckon this is an official, factory lash-up?
-
• #65244
Never heard of SA doing such so I'm guessing DIY.

^ Brompton have been using this system for a long time - BWR hubs. It's apparently not a hard bodge using a standard Sturmey.

There you go, thanks!

This Decathlon Cobra 740 (Columbus Genius?) is just a hair too large for me otherwise I'd be on the motorway to collect it.
States 54 but apparently measures 55tt 56.5st. -

Anyone get the stainless Aurelius for £175 or the Columbia (Raleigh) 753 frame for £150 ?
(Mad bargains)
I mean it's heavy duty steel. It would be repairable if someone did want to buy it
