Unless space is an issue I’d say keep it, these things are fairly basic but great fun.

Hello, I know it was a long time ago, but I still wanted to ask if you are selling the white affinity
-
• #685
Very nice, like what you've done with it. Agreed. Had it out yesterday and apart from the saddle and pedals it was proper fun. Beautifully smooth and fun to throw about and I forgot hope responsive Hope brakes really are!! A dropper post would just top it all off ..
@HK_Berlin cheers man! Oh no hopefully they won't go this way.. Think your ates were the generation before my hubs but I guess no hubs are ever infallable.
@KostamitK I could be persuaded to let go of my original white Affinity (Large size) if you want to drop me a PM?
Cheers! T -

Cheers folks. Was originally this one that I got years ago and ended up at the back of the lockup. Very happy it didn’t sell as it’s worked out ideally now and really enjoying it. Campag dropouts, probably 531 at least, Mizuno carbon 1” fork, Tange threadless HS, Monkey Bars… dressed up to look crap but rides beautiful. Hopefully will end up a bit ratty soon as it’s getting used and locked daily! T

So covid has got me but thankfully all ok so far…
On that note bored stupid and studying doesn’t make up for cycling or going to actual work!
So lots of parts from previous threads are here with me. The Principia is here too. And I have a very special Ellis Briggs Favori too. Approx 56/57 (waiting for a tape measure to be delivered). Fully chromed. One from the lockup depths but has to go as my life is also heading to the depths.
Can’t post things for a while but can sort ‘em as needed :) T -

All done and running. Really fun and fast. Feels weird on a coaster and might switch to fixed but enjoying it so far! Forge stem is for sells if anyone wants it.. T

Moots has gone, my brother has had an early Xmas present.
Figured out the beater (black one above) is a John Spooner, 9th frame made in (October) 1977. He started production in 1976 only making three frames that first year so it’s a very early single digit one, in fact the first made in his new premises in West Chiltington. Bocama (BCM) Professional lugs, Campag Pista dropouts. Rear triangle was chromed back in the day; maybe I’ll have it properly restored in the future. Glad I didn’t let it go in the end!https://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/classic_builders/spooner-john-cycles/
The Mash is getting some serious weight losing parts, pics will come once it’s done and weather improves!

Right so here's the Spooner daily. Got some S75 cranks, FSA ISO bottom bracket, CK HS, Royce/ceramic rear wheel, SMP saddle. Front wheel rebuilt. Runs like a wee beaut.

Also just to see if anyone knew who these dropouts were by please? The drive side one has been brazed up and thinking it’d be nice to have it replaced for an original prior to being sprayed etc. Cheers! T
