I can sell you a fizik tritone for £35? Cheap enough you should be able to get that back for it easily enough if it doesn't agree. Maybe the fact that 2 of us are trying to shift these is a bad sign though 🤔

Horses for courses, innit? I found the Tritone OK, just prefer the Iron

Bigham just about pulling equal to Wiggo's British hour reord with 12 minutes to go. Tense!

So, most aero front light?
-
• #19733
front light
Front light for what? Being seen under the trees in an evening 10 or seeing your way in a 24?
For the former, smallness and placement in an already stagnant location should see you right. For the latter, seeing well enough to go full speed will be worth more than a few cm² of Cd.A at 20mph

What bars are you using and what
clamping areas do you have available? Any standard 31.8 round space around the stem? -
• #19735
I've just ordered a Project 76 modular Garmin mount with a hanger for an Exposure Trace front light.
Disclaimer: One of the founders of Project 76 is a friend of mine. But he's a Bloody Good Chap Nontchaknow.

Complying with the new regs for short distance events. Can run most options under my project 76 mount but I'm sure there are more aero placements than the example Exposure setup they put up online yesterday.
-
• #19737
Alas not - Aduro. The high mount has a handy hole in the bridge but I run them with the Aerocoach adaptors now.
-
• #19738
The project 76 stuff looks great can you run another one upside down so it puts the light inbetween your hands or wrists? Otherwise you could probably fit a couple of exposure Trace or Flash's using their rubber band mounts on the inside of you extentions out of the way

Wait, what? Do CTT require front lights now too?
-
• #19740
Yep, and helmets. Glad I haven't pulled the trigger on bike upgrades, they've just saved me a bunch of cash.
-
• #19741
What's the helmet stuff?
Don't they email these rules changes out any more?
-
• #19742
Helmets for hillclimbs :( rip end of an era 4eva in r harts.
-
• #19743
I stopped my illustrious HC career after winning the club one 5 years on the trot.
Is there any difference for proper TTs though? That's all I care about. What other bullshit I need to strap to my bike for next year's 12hr and how many watts am I going to throw away? Grr
-
• #19744
Good options both. Another would be a 'be seen' light for day races like the Fabric Lumadot which could attach pretty much anywhere with a low profile.
-
• #19745
Everyone will be throwing away the same amount of watts. It will affect the smaller riders more...
-
• #19747
Where are these news regs documented anyway?
-
• #19748
If it's not about the race, why not do a 300 attempt on your own terms?
-
• #19749
Doing a 300mi 12hr CTT race IS my own terms.
Of course I could change the rules and do 300 miles in 12hr but that's not the point is it?
-
• #19750
Couldn't you ride under the 2021 rules? It would be a more direct comparison.
Or wait until someone brings out a a faired light that is more aerodynamic than not having one!
I have a Fizik Tritone 5.5 for sellz
