  • Aye but not everyone can do that and to do it fast and make money you need to be good. One of my pals does only kitchens, he’s shit hot and makes it look easy but I’d say it’s far from easy.

  • Don't get me wrong there are difficult aspects of installing a kitchen but setting up, plumbing and levelling the carcasses is not one of them (floor standing units at least, wall hung is slightly different) - of course there will be people who are unable to do it as some people just aren't practical. Plus someone who is DIY installing kitchens isn't trying to make money so they have the luxery of not having to worry about speed.

    I have in the past advised clients who are running short of money that a good way to make a saving is to install the carcasses for their kitchens themselves and once they've done that I can come in and do the worktops, install handles and drawerfronts etc i.e the skilled tricky stuff where there is a one shot opportunity to get it right.
