  • Looks like a surprised eel. Just gotta smooth, gloss and cure, then I can rebuild the bike.

  • Fishy looking bikes thread>>>>

  • Tis a nice bodge 👌

  • Cheers, been planning this a while now.

  • Not a bodge or anything, more of a Hints from Heloise, for anyone who hand washes their dishes and uses the eco soaps/detergents that are available now.
I’ve been frustrated by the lack of suds that most of these produce when using a reasonable dose, so what I’ve done is take a mesh sieve and vigorously whip it around in the sink. Better foam than a *$ latte and it lasts for the entire session.

I won’t engage in the dishwasher vs hand washing debate nor the argument that you don’t actually need suds for the cleaner to work.

  • Good to know

  • Had some pretty fierce wind last night... Lots of trees down all over the place. We fared pretty well, except for the top of this one flopping down onto the neighbour's house.

Big crack low down, and it kind of twisted over. Still good though, I reckon... It'll just have to spend the rest of its life with a bit of rope holding it together.

  • Nah, the cat has got it now, I think you can get rid of the rope.

  • She'll check out before the tree though

  • Is this a 'crack' Willow living up to its name?

  • Bottle brush. Australian native? I dunno plants.

I know this one is on the piss though, pretty dumb move, growing like that

  • Top tip from @King_Saxlingham on dyanmo light thread.

Cut a part of a disc brake adapter to fix a dynamo light to specialized pizza rack

  • Im stealing this idea, thank you! :)

  • I have a feeling this will end in tears but a nice try nonetheless.

  • Your IQ-X is upsidedown, innit?

  • Pretty sure you can loosen the mount and rotate it.

  • Then it would sit proud of the carrying space of the rack.

Also, it still lights up.. even though its upside down!

  • It would sit in exactly the same place, you're just rotating it through its axis

As is, the beam pattern is the wrong way up and you're also more likely to get water ingress

  • I have a feeling this will end in tears but a nice try nonetheless.

    One can hope

  • Oh ok, now i see what you mean..

I'll give that a go, but will need to re-cable it.. time was of the essence transferring it from one bike to the other!

  • I had the same light on a Pizza Rack and just used the standard mount. Looks good though.

I’m trying to fit a Pizza Rack to new frame (bike was stolen last week) but the eyelets are not square on the fork. Bending the plates is unlikely to get it sitting right. Any ideas? P clamps?

It only arrived this evening so have barely started the cogs whirring on this one yet.

  • I would try bending it, will only need to be kicked in slightly on both sides

  • Rack is on with bent mounts, but it’s not as solid as the old one. May have to look for something different. Mudguards on too, with brass for added heaviness:
