I saw loads of people eating outside when I was there 20 years ago. It was certainly not one of the things I was told to be mindful of anyway.

I stumbled onto this and watched half an ep the other night, so series linked it but haven't got around to watching it.

Yeah apparently it's rude to eat on public transport too

Never saw anyone on the tube / local trains but on any of the Inter City trains, almost everyone does. Bento boxes are specifically sold on stations for just that reason.
