I drove my car out my driveway one day years ago and found the neighbours cat in a poor state in middle ofโt road. Decided to do the decent thing and wrap it up in a towel and take it round to her. She said it had a habit of sleeping between parked cars this day I have no idea if she thought I had done it and her explanation was a way of saying โI forgive youโ.

They love it around and under parked cars - I assume it is the engine heat / shelter. She was probably being genuine.

as soon as they realised it was in there they shut the whole garage up so it couldn't get out, got rid of the dog that one of the mechanics brings to work, went and got it some cat food and really looked after it.

Cat tale is fantastic and right in the centre of the Epic WTF and Epic Win Venn diagram

My neighbours cat went missing the other week. Long story short it was up a massive tree and did and jumped from about 4 storeys up, landed on a cold frame greenhouse and walked away unscathed. Epic wtf to epic win.

My neighbour's Tomcat (Bamm Bamm) just sits on top of the van. Smart cat though, King of the street.
Pebbles, his sister, not so much.

That is how (one of) my (favourite) mot stations, gets it's cats.
They have two, and I call them the boss and always wander in to say hello to the cats and drop off toys and treats. When I take cars in for an MOT then I give them meat treats for the cats.

Did a fishing boat really try and stop the RNLI saving people from a capsized boat
EDIT: Was people outside of an RNLI station.
-
• #12566
Heard also unconfirmed reports that the initial report of that came from a caller to a radio station, so no firm eye witness testimony.

• #12567
Looks like the rnli have confirmed that the police were called according to londoneconomic
So looks like shit filled hate bags tried stop a RNLI boat from launching from Hastings while chanting hate speech at the RNLI crew.

although with the RNLI involved it might be [cetacean needed]

not sure what has been reported is entirely accurate, its more likely fishermen et al getting annoyed at this rather than a mob of Neo nazis. my dad lives in that part of the world and is part of the rnli/coastguard/fisherman community and there has been a sentiment amongst a lot of people that these services are run by volunteers and largely paid for by charity and was always meant for seafarers. lives lost by these volunteers is historically a very sore subject and there is a feeling that this should be paid for and attended to by the government and not having locals drop everything to do it for them.
they totally get people need saving, so they go and do it. but its getting quite out of hand for these stations. even when I have gone to visit over a couple days you see the boats and helicopters out, which isnt normal and someone is having to do this, local people dropping everything at any time of the day to risk their lives in a voluntary capacity.

I had the misfortune to hear someone in the work bog having a 'opening the gates of hell' shit in cubicle next to me today. Midway through the grunting and carpetbombing they cracked open a can of fizzy pop.

One one hand with such an epic task ahead it seems sensible to take a can of something to see you through.
On the other hand when your dietary choices are having SUCH disastrous repercussions maybe it's time to rethink the whole game plan.
Tricky. -

Im working at a school cleaning atm and the staff toilets regularly have food wrappers discarded in the lav... No cans of pop yet though.. Who eats a bar of chocolate while turfing one out
This is the happiest news I have heard since that lost dog turned up - thanks!
