Whinge at them for supplying really short fire-hose straps! I've found it problematic at the saddle when attaching to a sprung saddle, could do with longer straps to wangle them through the springy bits..
Oh wait are you trying to attach to something other than your saddle rails/loops (and seat pin strap)?
