  • They're cool, same seats as I have in the 911 - which are amazingly comfortable and genuinely enhance the driving experience, but I'd be lying if I said that they were easy as a day to day proposition.

  • How about a TT Sport?

    Too few cylinders for Dammit

  • Yeah Roomster is ugly for sure, but I won't have to look at it while I'm inside.

    @hurricane_run thanks.

  • there's a place in melksham that can do my wheels for 91 each plus vat. i can get the train into work too, which will prob save me a tank of fuel and drama. just hope they're good

  • If you use Exel wheels he comes to you, with (if he has them) spare wheels for the car to use whilst he’s refurbishing the usual ones

  • there's also a place in nw5 that does exchange, but they were the ones that had lots of additional £££ on top

  • Nineteen seventy two. My old man bought it as a ex demo from a VW dealer and the family have owned it since. He and I look so cute going along the road in it.

  • I was always under the impression the 1.8t was the one to go for because it was as quick as the v6 99% of the time but was a much sweeter steer.

  • Double post

  • that's what the people with the 1.8 told everyone

  • was a much sweeter (under)steer

  • True. I've only driven the 1.8t so can't comment vs the v6

  • Also 1.8t is a tuners favourite isn't it? Big power fairly easily.

  • yeah - I think it had the 225 BAM unit, which was what was in my old Leon Cupra R and apparently highly tunable....

  • Definitely becoming a modern classic. My ex-brother-in-law had one and he used to go on about it despite having replaced it with a BMW 328i

Do you have a large enough supply of black polo neck sweaters?

  • Nice. I'd like an early 80s one. The early 2000 ones are so cheap, I want to pick up a 1.8T one once we have space to allow me to restore it. Such a fun engine.

  • Nineteen seventy two

Any pics? I'm a late model fan and always liked the 72 as it had the tombstone rear lights instead of the chunky elephants feet.

  • I'd like an early 80s one

Some odd ball features but the Mex's were pretty grim quality in comparison to the Wolfsburg models

  • Nothing will beat an MPV if you need space in a compact package. Friends of mine have a Mazda 5 and fit 2 adults, two swivel baby seats, a male great Dane and luggage for all in it. I borrowed it and without the second baby seat and the dog the storage space was huge. It's also quite a bit shorter than an Octavia estate.

  • Has to be a Zafira for no-fucks-given insouciance..

  • I'm still under 30, I can't let myself buy an MPV.

  • Then a Berlingo. It's a "ludospace".

  • I'm still under 30, I can't let myself buy an MPV.

Just call it a camper, job jobbed.

  • True. But they are all significantly cheaper and well, everything is replaceable.
