Well, you should have bought a sweatshirt instead.
I have the same feeling about hoods in general, especially when cycling, just a huge windsock that ends up strangling you.

Hoods on rain jackets are nice when it is raining. Not all hoods are bad.

Completely agree, sweatshirts for me from now on. Hoods are lumpy under a coat, not a great look over a coat. Not waterproof. Ill fitting when actually deployed which is extremely rare. People drive wearing them. Blah blah, get a hat.
