thanks all - yes, its done very well. Winter training duties back when I was more seriously cycling, and now just more commuting and general duties, but its been heavily used, usually in shitty weather, and hardly shows it.
The shifters are record 10s which I got off ebay and only in the last couple of months I needed finally to rebuild the right side. Bars have changed a couple of times (to match the fashion of the times), and its gone through 3 or 4 sets of rims - all laced to the same dt240 hubs that I've never touched beyond greasing the rachet freewheel thing. It shares the rotor crank & powermeter with the tarmac thats just in the background - couple of minutes to swap over.
Paint is as it came from Roberts. Its a bit chippy, but the metallic black hides dirt and scratches, and big knocks are very easy to touch up. I keep toying with the idea of a giving it a respray - cant decide what I'd want though so never go through with it. Likely one day I'll update from 10 speed and at that time send it in for something funky!
