You have to, as @middleofnowhere once told me, make your ankles go floppy. You can't push or resist at 66gi when thing get above 27/28mph, you have to sit down absorb the prescribed rhythm
Speaking of such, I ride a similar ratios (49/20), however what I have notice is that I don't quite sit down properly when going at a higher speed, compare to a higher gearing that enable a relaxed cadence and thus able to relax onto the saddle and handlebar.
Do you find this to be the case?
