Mines a 6 speed auto. I was agnostic on the matter but the right car turned up and it happened to be auto. Seems like a pretty good box.

I always said I'd own a pre-war Indian Motorcycle - pretty much ever since Benjamin Button. Sadly I look nothing like Brad Pitt

quality street exhausts
Photo of a not very good picture adds to the effect. I think they're called fish tail exhausts.
It had a pillion seat on the mudguard when my dad bought it as a kid, but the very festedious guy who restored it said it wasn't original they didn't replace it. I reckon they should of.

I’m not sure about ever owning a vintage bike. Even the 60’s stuff, which is pretty standardized for the most part requires a lot of attention to keep going well. Pre-war bikes are unbelievably esoteric. There are no manuals so you basically need to become an expert in whatever bike you get to look after it, or get used to big bills and failures on the regular. It’s all a bit too masochistic if you actually like riding.

yep - you are making bits for them when they break, too.

I quite like this, mainly because I always liked the overall design BITD.

Wheels would have to go and the blower scoop is a bit small, but overall it's cool.

wheels are poo, but love the rest.

Yeah, need much more sidewall - low profile stuff looks crap on a proper muscle car.

Estate (kind of), rwd, 6 cylinder
Reports over on the Lexus Owners Club of outlandishly high mileages achieved by these old bangers

I don't want the BHP, I want the handling.
My fav bikes are an aprilia rs250 and suzuki rg gamma 250. But neither were great commuter bikes.

Have had a go on others pre war bikes, and riding them was scary for me as getting it wrong will be expensive and don't think I relaxed while riding the bike so handling was terrible.
Worst thing is the bikes have a unique way to start so if you stall the bike you have to go through a sort of ritual to get them going again.

Cool. Cheers
Nice, but I'd prefer to have something homegrown. Anyway, I don't have a motorbike licence at the moment, so I'm still at the imagineering stage.
