If you know where they're coming in then plug the gap with some wire wool.
6 years on I can confirm this only works for a few months - they have chewed through the wall next to it. GF spotted one yesterday morning. Two traps overnight both caught mice.
A buddy says to supplement the wire wool with expanding foam filler. Hopefully that'll sort it for good.
