  • Nice take on the raiders situation and Derek Carr’s leadership.
Had a soft spot for the raiders and him since he arrived in the league in his brothers broken shadow and the constant hot takes that he was good (maybe) but not really good enough. How he kind of falls into the andy Dalton bracket despite to my mind doing more with less.
    But anyway good write up

  • Good analysis of Trevon Diggs' season. Incredible that he is one of the lower rated CBs in the league despite his INT stats.

    *deep football nerdery warning

  • Yeah it’s a strange conversation that’s being had.

Arguably one of the highlight defence players of the year but is he so bad out of 8? INT that he’s actually hurting the team?

  • It's his second year in the league. He could be very, very good as he learns more, he only started playing defense in his second year at College so his techniques are still going to be pretty raw. Don't forget his brother Stefon is bit special too. Clearly some insane genetics within that family.

  • I’m a huge fan it was just interesting to hear the arguments for and against.

Ultimately for me he’s exciting to watch and that’s all I care for in Dallas. Hope they lose but the highlights are good.

  • Fucking hell. Road win in Tennessee? Hell yes! TyGod Taylor with 2 rushing TDs. Wow. 2-8 and we still can play the Jags again.

  • Can’t even tank correctly if we had Tyrod all year we might have been 4-6

Micah Hyde interview, excellent, “we didn’t do nothing today”

Vikings might just do something this year.

  • My favourite meme from this weekend

  • Eagles. Playoffs. Never thought that’d be a conversation to be having after the start to the season but they really handed a run-based beating to the Saints yesterday and the remaining schedule should be fun.

  • I had someone try to tell me where we are in the draft doesn't matter. I still don't understand that. a 2 pick is better than a 4 pick by the fact you have two more chances of getting the player you want.

  • Well a 2 pick can be traded for a 4 pick plus a second rounder if the chips fall just right. I don't follow college football at all but my understanding that the upcoming draft is thin on QBs. That may mean high draft picks become more valuable if there are limited skill players and teams in desperate need, therefore a better chance of finding gems in the later rounds.

  • Even more reason to tank correctly.

Yeah no stand out QBs but then again the most successful QBs haven’t really been stand outs. WR core looks excellent.

  • Also Seahawks absolutely stink

  • Also Seahawks absolutely stink

    :-(

  • Okay Goff really sucks.

  • Hoping the lions hold on for this one!
    Just one win! Just one.
Just so Dan campbell doesn’t have to cry in anymore press conferences

Also the man crush on campbell is getting stronger..

  • Hoping the lions hold on for this one!

    This.

Also. I keep forgetting that the colour commentator on Fox is Tory Aikman and not Dan Dierdorf. They are auditory doppelgangers. (I am aware that many of you will not understand this comment)

  • Both Hall of Famers though.

  • They aren’t!

But I’m hoping campbell is in a job longer than Nagy.
Is Justin fields injured, why isn’t he playing? Andy Dalton isn the answer there.

  • They aren’t!

They sound alike and have similar styles. Dierdorf was by far the better of the two.

Oh wait. Detroit. Yeah. Not holding on.

  • Maybe Chicago shank the kick and we end up with surprise OT no one wants.

  • Nevermind.

  • Sky sports pundits putting the boot into the lions about how poorly coached they are.
Like they expect campbell to be gone at the end of the season?
Last two mins was bad, too many men on the field, calling back to back time outs when you’re not allowed to (nfl has some strange rules and regulations) but that team plays hard despite the lack of talent on the field. I’d rather a team that played hard for their coach and made mistakes than one that didn’t.

  • that's the 5th or 6th game lost by a single score this year. They'll give Campbell more time. He's better than Matt Patricia and inherited his mess. Every Lions HC gets at least 2 years.

  • You’d hope so, was reading an article from 2020 when Patricia got fired. He was a massive dick! And there was no sympathy from the players or staff when he got cut loose.
If the lions don’t give at least as much time to a coach whose got players playing for him, then management need to have a word with themselves..
