The head unit doesn’t need to run Android to be able to display Android Auto from your phone. There are name brand units for nearer £200, and much much less if you can put up with incredibly buggy software.

I had a Kenwood head unit installed in mine that does both Android and Apple - massive upgrade over the standard unit. And yes, will tell you where speed cameras are. Cheaper chinese options are available.

Managed to unlock Bluetooth audio with a 20 quid obd reader and 30 quid app. Pretty cool to have but its still mega dated and the nav is garbage.
You can get 10" android head units for about 450 quid... Pretty punchy.
Is android auto that good? 450 notes good
