are there any go-to brushes for cleaning/removing hair from rugs and carpets?

seen a few things online but not sure if any one is better than the others

Dog hair varies a lot and so do the textiles they get stuck in.

For us (with a whippet), a lint roller is indispensable. Not sure it'd work as well for a longer haired dog though.
