It's a wider mistake made in business/other organisations too. Get a former journalist in, because they'll help you get coverage, or not, or something. They know how the media works! That's all that matters. Never mind the people who've spent their whole career in comms (waves).
When these ex-journos get into the job they often find it's quite different to what they expected and you have to do all this other stuff which is nothing like journalism (who knew), and they can struggle.

Just catching up on the thread, don't know how you all find the time!

Word on the street is that most of the true comms professionals have quit Downing Street over the last couple of years. Allegedly because of sheer frustration at their advice not being followed.

He can join the "betrayed by Boris" support group.
If he can get a slot, it's very oversubscribed lately š

I definitely wouldn't have hired me during my 'workshy designer twat on LFGSS all day' days... We were here for the lols back then, Mark, fuck knows why I'm here now... Habit? Addiction? Boredom? What's everyone else's excuse?

It's a nice place to discuss and debate stuff. Lots of stuff to learn from other people. Occasional lols at older folk on the forum being all passive aggressive over people discussing opinions on current events. That and addiction.

PS Surprised I'm still on the podium, would've thought that quite a few on here would've managed to soar past my total by now...

The forum is the only place I can actually understand what people are saying (writing) without any effort whatsoever, hence why it's a large parts of my daily routine.
Being Profoundly Deaf is a fucking struggle every day.

What gets me about this video is how in the end they drive along the footway to the main junction and across the traffic island.

What's everyone else's excuse?
I'm a full time home maker and my kid lacks the comms and edginess to keep me entertained. But also addiction.
I look forward to the day I can go back to skimming my favourite threads over an office breakfast and then doing the majority of posting while taking a shit.
Old news, we've moved on now.
This week we're all experts on the American legal system.
