Great news here - Timi the lost dog was found. In Beckenham, I'm told - that's close to 10 miles away. Given that she had been seen around here for the first few days, no idea how she's ended up there. We'll probably never know, but apparently she's in good health.

Amazing news! That's such a long way to travel, especially in a city. I bet the owners are over the moon.

ta, they said 10 for matting and tangles then a 23 to finish. Upsold the hell out of me
Oh really! I was literally saying yesterday that i wish we had a less fine one for the first pass as the fine one gets clogged too quickly and needs constantly clearing or it pulls too much

They've upsold you too then!

My new retractable lead came with a short length of ribbon with washers on each end. What’s it for?

A few days ago, Odie was sick (he’s not often sick) and then seemed to go off his food. He was sick again that evening but hasn’t been since. Since vomming, he’s not touched his normal (dry) food and we thought he just didn’t want to eat. We’ve since found he’s well up for eating, just not his normal food now! I’ve been giving him rice with his dry food mixed in, plus a bit of warm water to soften it, which he tolerates. Anyone else hat their dog just go off their normal food after being sick? I wondered if it was a natural response - to switch to a different source of nourishment if you’ve been sick after eating one.

Yes, but as I have a labX that lasted for like 1 week.
Try a different flavor, and it usually works. Or just crack an egg or two in. -

I’m going to keep mixing the rice in as he seems fine with that. Maybe I’ll gradually give him less rice and more dry food until I’ve tricked him in to just eating his dry food again.

when I go for round 2 with benny on the raw food after our move I'll have to try this.

Not following being sick but Crumpet will occasionally just go off her food. We've tried switching to a different flavour/ brand but it doesn't make a difference, she just seemingly goes a few days without wanting to eat much and then all of a sudden she'll be back to eating everything in sight and carrying her bowl around the house demanding more.

Its so bizarre how much of your life they represent. Its only been 4 months, and yet the house feels totally empty.
I mean- I somewhat knew this before from my family dogs, but the ('responsible') adult:dog kinship is a totally different experience. On the plus side- he'll be running free in Devon, eating all the sheep shit he can devour.

Absolutely. I missed our dogs when I was younger but was absolutely gutted first time we left Daisy with family, was a total shock.

I'm going on holiday soon for a couple of weeks so the pup is going to stay with a friend. I know she'll be in good hands and they have a little cockerpoo that she will pester to no end, it'll be like a holiday for her too. But even so I've literally spent 1 night away from her since december, it'll be strange.
Thanks! Oscar's a beagle and who knows what Crumpet is, she's a Greek street dog so has a bit of everything in her I reckon. The perspective is quite odd there but Crumpet's loads bigger than Oscar.
