Yup... I'm going more for the transparent near/mid monitors.
I've had great speakers from a musical perspective... but these PSI Audios on my desk... sigh, I'm ruined now. They are phenomenal and I cannot stop listening to music. I've been in studios for recordings, and present for mastering, I know the people involved and for me... hearing their voice, the instruments, hearing it is as obvious as seeing a TV where the colour reproduction is off... and the PSI Audio speakers have finally given me as close to the reproduction I recall from the time (allowing for my memory being shit).
How to achieve that in a larger room where the environment is non-ideal? Damned if I know. A lot of experimentation and being an annoyance to retailers and a forum :)
I may conclude it's just not possible... or only possible if I sit in one place. It's all good in the end.
