In a nutshell, they are claiming that because the video that showed Rittenhouse lied about not aiming his gun at protestors before the shootings happened was sent to them in a compressed format the whole trial should be thrown out and not be allowed to happen again.
Prosecution team points out that the uncompressed video was used throughout the trial and that the Jury only saw the uncompressed video.
Doesn't sound like the defence are too confident of full acquittal to me. I make that five separate times that Rittenhouse has been found to be lying during or about the events of that night. Will be interesting to see how the jury interprets that.

Yup. 3 days of jury deliberation is a good indicator that there’s strife somewhere. FWIW, the defence’s job is to serve their client’s interests as best they can, and a ‘technicality’ in a court of law is as valid as anything. (quotations used because allowing the prosecution to -allegedly- share with the defence subpar versions of the evidence they have is a pretty big deal).

Also interesting to see that lots of conservative commentators on Twitter are saying that they think he will be convicted because the leftist BLM mob have got to the jury.

Totally agree on this. Technicalities are important.
Reminds me of a series of cases in the UK in the 90s that found that signatures sent in compressed formats were not legally binding and also that video/photo evidence that was compressed as also not admissible in certain circumstances.

Considering that Rittenhouse's original lawyer was on Tucker Carlson talking about the uncompressed HD footage 3 days after the shooting and that the compressed version was only sent to them a few days before trial started, something doesn't hang together.
There was also a slightly funny moment when Rittenhouse's current lawyer claimed that the footage they showed on Tucker Carlson was compressed in black and white and the prosecution just showed the judge a clip of the show which clearly shows it was uncompressed and in colour.

A mate of mine does this. He is a landscape gardener/groundsman by trade so has some of the necessary licenses for operating heavy machinery. If I recall he does 1 day training at the start of the winter then is on call when snow is forecast

And stating the obvious, it's not really a well-paid job because you are probably only going to be required once or twice per winter

I flew out of Gatwick recently and noticed a massive fleet of ploughs/tractors/etc - seems total overkill for a couple of days a year (if that) but I suppose you need loads for an area that large.

A large fleet is required because the runways have to be cleared right now.
A few guys with plows could clear an airport in a few days, if nobody minds waiting that long for the airport to open.That fee may be for an owner/operator. The owner’s cost of a big front end loader has to be considered. And is the owner paying for their fuel?
