That's not what I meant, for me B&O has more of the stench of golf club than Bose... I'm no expert tho'...
Unlike most people on here... 😚

I can't speak for the upland moors, there isn't one within 100s of miles from Sussex. The commercial shooting estates have a fair bit to answer for as they are the ones which have a monoculture of pheasants and are the ones with massive fees for shooting them. A high percentage of the shoots around here are run by the local farmers and the cost of an entire season is under £1k, or half a pair of posh carbon wheels. They are all crossed by footpaths giving the same access as any other farmland. I know at least two local shoots where it is expressly against the rules to shoot foxes. It is against the law to shoot or persecute raptors. Luckily wild birds can't read the pheasants only signs and do pretty well on pheasant food.

Hipster. Not Golf Club. Never the twain shall meet neither.

Wild boar is a bit golf club, hipster would be more chinghiale, surely?

I thought I would share this, from our friends over on The Paceline, as it is the most golf club thing ever:
I have a 1981 Aston Martin Vantage with a 540 cu in engine built by Mike Peach at Laguna. (The whole car was coach built.)
I have it in storage. It looks like a mustang on serious steroids.
The Aston Martins Owner club use to have track day at Fuji International Speedway once a year. I've had the car on the track. It is crazy loud but handles like a turd.
My buddy has a 1997 V8 Vantage with the super charger bringing it up to 550 hp. (again one of the last coach built) It is beast in a straight line, but again, not fun to corner in.
The graydon era cars in my opinion are a bit of a miss. They handle better, and have nice lines. But I think Aston was always struggling for money so the interiors are just a bit shabby and little details just stick out. (Jeremy Clarkson agrees with me on this)
There is a DB7 Zagato near me in Eaton Sq. It looks interesting from afar, but up close, the details just fall apart.
If I was going to spend the money for grand tourer, I think I'd splurge on the new Bentley GT Mulliner or Speed. These are serious luxury fast cars. -

Imagine sincerely writing the phrase "Jeremy Clarkson agrees with me on this"
Just imagine actually doing that.

Funny enough I was just about to quote the same line.
As if Jeremy Clarkson is the benchmark of taste.

Would the chinghiale have to have grazzed in oak words so acorn fed?

I've helicoptered in to a location, got drunk and punched someone I work with (am senior to) as I did not get a steak I demanded for less.

Already a pig eater, might as well catch one myself

Ever had pig's ear salad? Then you are not a pig eater ;)
-
• #3521
Not in a salad no, but pigs ear is quite popular in places I regularly visit. Can't say I'm a fan.
Where's the salad from anyway?
-
• #3522
Portugal I believe, will get a picture next time I'm in that supermarket.
Am a fan of stuffed pigs trotters tho.
EDIT: To be clear, it is called a pig's ear salad but not a green leaf type of salad. It is cooked not sure if you eat it cold or re heat it.

I would like to see the reintroduction of wild boar onto golf courses. Far more worthwhile use of the land.

Acorn fed is desirable, of course, but for maximum hipster points you want to ensure it's been butchered by Dario Cecchini.
Straight into the lord of the manor's back pocket.
