I wish Remembrance day and poppies were explicitly about remembering all war dead and injured, not focusing on armed forces, it would be more useful then as a reminder of the horrors of war.
Wouldn't it be nice if the cenotaph events included representation from Germany, Japan etc too? Its not even 10o years yet I suppose but I'd hope that at some point in the future the remembrance activities became less nationalistic.
