  • Can’t say it ever bothers me in the car, however the instant heat button at work can be nice.

  • Golf or driving gloves? Please be clear.

  • this is insensitive towards people who have IBS

  • The what now?

  • String backs driving gloves, obvs.

Actually - was meaning being outside without gloves and getting cold hands, then warming them on the steering wheel.

  • Never mind heated seats. Cooled seats are my new benchmark of what a luxury spec should include.
In hot weather they are amazing.

  • (not that any of my current cars have them)

  • @amey is doing a classic troll, I have IBS and he is suggesting that the only reason I enjoy heated seats is because it gives me arsehole pain relief.

    This is not true.

  • A chauffeur should always be prepared.

  • Cooled seats are next level. It's an option on the Superb but the cheapest car I could find with that option was 5k more than mine.

  • I had cooled seats in the Range Rover. They were excellent. Unfortunately spoiled by the fact that the heating elements were atrocious and took at least 20 mins to heat up. At that point, why bother?

  • I have heated seats in both my vehicles and virtually never use them. As Dammit said it is occasionally useful on the Z4 for top down winter driving on a day like, well, today. Both the Z4 and truck warm up in under 5 minutes, so I simply don't bother.

  • The astra vxr is leaking washer fluid

    Here. See?

    No obvious loose tubes

What might this be called? The Vauxhall superstore website hasn't been much help. Many parts, few pics.

  • Lols. Not about the IBS, but honestly, my whole day has been about shit and now this! My 5 yo daughter has a bit of a issue... Spent the day at the docs with her that ended with a Bristol Stool chart to take home... Anyway I digress.

  • Mine take about 60secs then my arse is on fire! But massage is a whole different story, I almost fall asleep at the wheel ffs

  • Might just be the Velar seats that are shit.

Got the Tesla now though and remote pre-conditioning is much easier given there's no need to start an engine. Seats are already hot and cabin at temperature, every time I open the car door.

  • I use heated seats even in the summer. Heated steering wheel is a great too.
Wouldn’t have a car without now.

On another note, I want to get apple car/auto installed.
Current gen Volvo XC90, dealer is quoting about £400 I think to get it installed.

Is there a cheaper method that actually works? I see these kits you can buy on AliExpress for audi. But are they shady?
    Or just pay the dealer?

  • I'd love heated seats and steering wheel in my next car. Getting in the car after kitesurfing in the middle of winter the cold is in your bones, whacking the heating up to max just isn't enough. Last winter I took a hot water bottle a couple of times and lodged it in the small of my back for the journey back. Heat and extra lumbar support!

  • water bottle

Ha! This is what I used to do in previous car

  • Seats are already hot and cabin at temperature

Agree this is a brilliant feature. My Volvo is the first car I’ve had with modern stuff like pre heating.
Electric heated windshields are great, no more frantically scraping ice at 6am.
Open the door ready to go nice and toasty.

  • Washer fluid pump. It's a little electric pump.

  • My E63 has heated and cooled seats, who'd like to buy it?
