She (mother) seemed unwilling to grasp that if a bunch of civilians hadn’t been carrying rifles that night, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
Which makes my point, whatever the legal situation is in the USA (I don't know), maybe he will get off. But from an outsiders perspective it's fucking lunacy (my opinion) that these are the laws.
