If it’s the bolt that holds the rails to the saddle fitting, Carradice used a grub screw. The better option used to be a mudguard stay bolt or bottle cage bolt as kept in boxes in just about every bike shop. You can’t get the grub screw tight enough but the ordinary bolt (m4x15mm) is a much better fix.

Good news. I tried emailing again and got a prompt response that the bolt is being sent first class post.
