Gearbox issues are not something I would like. It’s a worry with some of the Audi ones too.

Often, people who don't buy them new, don't realise that the 6sp DSG is a wet clutch. This means it needs servicing and fluid changes at strict intervals. Miss an interval and that gearbox is going to die.

Oh god eBay sourced parts can be a nightmare. But then so can getting parts from ECP

Alot of garages also make money on the parts, difference between trade and retail. But the bigger protection is that the garage can get dodgy parts too but they have to cover the labour costs to replace.

It was a hack, they couldn't make the DSG smooth enough for normal users so they made it wet to allow it to be smoother.

You plug your phone in. It works like a 2nd screen for your phone rather than running as an Android tablet.

Oh, I niavily think these advancements but seems that they are ( hacks ) for NVH.

The amount of information out there is astonishing if you're prepared to find it. It's like the IMS bearing issues on 996's - a tiny percentage of them went south but all the failures are well documented. Didn't Nurse Snr have a 996?
