Yesterday I lost my wedding ring. I have shed over two stone in weight and it had become loose.
I had spent some time in the garden, but it’s autumn and there are leaves everywhere. The other place it could have ended up was in a batch of sausages I made, perhaps after chilling the meat before grinding it fell into the mincing machine. In which case I will be eating the most expensive droewors in history and I have become an unwitting disciple of Salt Bae.
I lost mine at my local for a few weeks not too long after getting married, then lost it again a couple of years ago in the sea in Brighton, didn't get it back that time.
