Add it to the list. Sure we'll be fine but it's certainly a bit of a shitter.

At least you and the wife have a diagnosis.
Hope CFS is a passing thing.

I'm thinking about you right now... *crotch tightens*
A mate of mine is just starting to get over his bout of long covid and he got sick all the way back in April, I'm really hoping your other half has a similar positive outcome...

Best wishes from E15.
A client of mine had long Covid, I saw him at the start of August just after he’d gone back to work a few months after catching the virus and a stint in hospital, he was a mess, hacking cough, out of breath after a short walk, tired all the time. I saw him today and he was back to his old self and 8kgs lighter too. I know it’s different for everyone but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

My daughter (Yr11) has finally caught it, up the last two nights vomiting, high temperature and headache. Two LFT's have been positive though so confident the PCR will be, so shit, we have my mum's funeral next week that she won't be able to attend. Also in the middle of mock exams. She only lives with me half the week so not seen her for since the start of the week but just hoping I don't come down with it/ test positive, luckily I took my Dad for his booster last week but not currently comfortable with the idea of sitting in a car with him and my brother.

Booster, and in many cases first mRNA, for 40-49 year olds. Second jab for 16 - 17 year olds.

Apparently UK has experienced a much lower bounce back in number of tourists than other EU countries.

That’s a really good article
https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/uk-tourism-decline-restrictions-cmd/index.html
What’s surprising (and not discussed by CNN) is that many of the top end London hotels are currently achieving occupancy rates above 85% and it’s all domestic market, room rates are holding up too. How long that will last though is another matter

Yes please.
Come stab me.

Indeed, already looking whether you can book (I can't get mine until late Dec if it's 6 months since jab 2).
(Ah, you can book the appointment when it's 5 months since your 2nd jab with the actual appointment being 6 months after 2nd jab. And the site says it'll be updated for 40-49 year olds on 22nd Nov.)

Unless things change there are a couple of things to consider.
First is your proof of vaccination. Your Aussie jabs will get you in the country without needing to isolate but if you are deemed a close contact of anyone then they are not recognised by test and trace so you will be required to isolate for ten days. We had this because someone somewhere on the same flight as us tested positive.
If you need to go somewhere which requires a vaccine passport/ covid pass, this can only be done through getting a test as again your non-UK vaccination status is not recognised. At the moment this is just events like live footy, big gigs and nightclubs. I’d be watching for this being extended to restaurants and pubs this winter and not rolled back in the spring.

Ok people, now I do not believe this. It is some thing I have been told, by an adult, and wondering where this information comes from.
Not getting your kids vacinated as the vaccine (which one is not specified, even when asked) has caused 20 children (no country stated, but I assume the uk. Did ask) to die of a stroke.
How can you counter this kind of miss information?
EDIT - Yes I know don't interact with them, but this is someone I know in real life....

Ask for the source
Edit:

Have asked for a source, but don't expect to get one. As we know strokes don't discriminate by age.
Worst thing about (your link, should be) that picture is it looks real at a glance but closer inspection show it is false.

It says it's false in the 4th line of the article. In the first word of the assessment.
Sorry to hear that, it's usually chronic.
Hope you both have support from family etc. and she can get medical support.
