Halo Infinite multiplayer up today then. I'll give it a day because I assume it'll be chaos this evening

Noticed this too. Sometimes you'll be miles ahead and the cars (AI) will then come out of nowhere and roll all over you!

I've given up on some of the off road tracks too because there will be 3 tight corners in a row with no traction anywhere and the AI will come steaming past as if on perfectly dry tarmac

I don’t want to say git gud without knowing how you drive but above average should be pretty straight forward to beat.

Couple of things:

1. Look at your assists - I drive without ABS, traction or stability and with manual shift and am 10-20% quicker than with them on
   
2. Tunes definitely help but things like tyres and suspension are probably the biggest performance gains. Make sure you’re on the right setup for the type of race.
   
3. The braking lines are still a joke in FH5 so if you’re following them for cross country / off-road, that’s probably where you’re struggling to turn. Brake earlier, use gas off oversteer to turn in then power back on past the apex. Use a dab of handbrake if you’re really struggling to pivot the car. Assume you’re using an AWD vehicle?
   
   

AI is harder than FH4 and cheats at unbeatable level for sure but anyone using the above approach should beat above average.

Interesting that the three big FPS releases this year have struggled on launch; Battlefield seems awful & Call of Packet-burst is fun to play but has some massive issues too!

Anyone tried the "new"Pokémon?

I played a fair few BITD, I think Black (and White) was my last go (other than revisiting Yellow)
Would have played Diamond back when it was new, but I am not good enough to remember it.

I am tempted, but also was tempted with GTA trilogy and that has been largely canned, so my taste in games leaves something to be desired.

I'm done with Pokemon. Really enjoyed them as a kid but they've been phoning it in for years. Nothing new or interesting.

If it's ever a tenner, I might pick it up.

I understand that, they are all basically just reskins of the original game.

But, I do like them, and haven't really played one in the best part of a decade.

One of the first games I played online. Great memories.

Really enjoying Halo. The fact that I am up at 1am playing it says a lot. I haven't stayed up to play a game in like... a decade.

Got bored of my shite internet connection so decided to start the Modern Warfare campaign. It was incredibly stressful playing as a preteen girl watching her mother crushed by debris and seeing her father shot in front of her eyes, then having to wield weapons and kill more adults. I'm a bit surprised how much I got drawn in emotionally, made me sad.

Google stadia £19.99 for the chromecast ultra and a controller today, thought it was worth a punt even if end up just using the chromecast, as my old one is pre 4k.
