Oh for sure, though I'd definitely put him a level below Alonso/Kimi/Hamilton/Vettel, more on the Webber/Rosberg level.
Though to be fair that may well just have been because he didn't have a decent stint in a championship winning car (though I guess he did fare relatively well alongside Hamilton at McLaren).

From memory, the only person "on 'ere" who doubted JB's talent was @bq. He's a former world champ who didn't need to win by using nefarious means which makes him alright IMHO
