I did the Overnighter loop from Guildford yesterday and today.
The missus said it looked like you were doing that ride - she spied the first half on Strava I think and the ride to the pub. Same thing we did.
Stayed at the campsite at Cocking. Annoyingly the pub has gone to winter hours so stopped serving food at 4pm.
Haha, I asked her what time you were at the pub and I was sure you'd get food, unlike us. But they changed their hours just to fuck with you! :D We couldn't be arsed with the other pub so just had beer and bar snacks. It was a lot later though.

Actually I didn't finish it as my hanger snapped half way through the leg back up to Guildford this afternoon. I had a four-mile walk to the nearest station and am now on my third of four trains to get home, more or less at the same time as if I'd ridden.
I enjoyed the South downs bit. It was hard and I ended up walking a few bits. It was quite misty up on the downs and I got the odd glimpse of views from time to time. Not great for photos but very atmospheric.
Stayed at the campsite at Cocking. Annoyingly the pub has gone to winter hours so stopped serving food at 4pm. I could have just caught it but wanted to set my tent up in daylight, and eating that early would mean not much else to do all evening, so I rode a couple of miles towards Midhurst where there is another pub that was very good.
The leg down from Guildford is about 50k of old railway track. It's quite quick but boring. After a fairly boring ride to Guildford it meant I'd done 100km before I hit the downs. If I'd done my homework properly I might have gone a different way!
I was enjoying the bit back up to Guildford when disaster struck. Fairly easy woodland paths but very pretty with the autumn colours.
