So it’s a slow onset, not very localised, burning sensation when you sit, correct? Any trauma? Is it easy to predict or is it random? It it possibly influenced by accumulated effort or positioning during the day? Does your ITB or any muscles feel painful to the touch at rest?
Might not help you, but I developed an odd pain in the 9, 10:30 and 12 o’clock positions of my left leg, near the iliac crest. It happened when walking, cycling or sometimes sitting, and would cause me to limp it became so painful. I figured out it was the waist band of my trousers that was impinging on my TFL / hip flexors. Pulling my waist band up and using slacker slacks resolved it.

Nothing has been completely resolved for me, but my issues were tremendously relieved when I did the same. It’s a good thing it coincided with the workwear trend
