Found it on the map, but shan't spoil it yet. Certainly easier than the last one!

This sounds great! Got a route/plan?
-
• #679
It’s this one https://ridewithgps.com/routes/18237980
Starts at the paper mill pub just outside Chinley which is a fantastic pub, 5 mins from Chinley station or you could park on the road over the a6. I recommend low gears, strong legs and a pizza at the paper mill once done!
If anyone else fancies this we could do a small unofficial ride sometime? Maybe in April! -

I'd be up for this definitely. If it lands in April it should be not long after HDITP...

Also keen (slowly).

And me.

Date pending I'd be interested.

I’d be up for doing that but might have to make my own way around the odd bit I could do on a road bike but looks like most of it is doable. As far as I know, it’s just the bit up to the farm before it doubles back and goes back along Taxal Moor Road (assuming it’s being done clockwise-ish).

I'd assumed road bike to fair

I think this is the only bit you’d struggle. Old Road is sketchy but passable.

Slowly is the only way I know. I’ll look at when the real ronde is nearer the time and in the meantime I’m having another go at it without a cold to see if I can actually manage the full loop and get home!

Another awesome ride on The Peak District's famous gravel yesterday. It was much drier than my previous ride, but the wind made it really hard in places. The final climb out of Baslow was murder. I was so low on energy by that point! https://www.strava.com/activities/6225891923

Looks fun. Count me in.

Lol the wind up there yesterday was insane, can’t believe you managed a ride that big in it.
I was planning to ride up over the tops to ladybower, but sacked it off after going over houndkirk and ducked back down into the relative calm of the woods instead.

I've developed a slightly odd liking for that climb.

Haha, I would like to go back without already having done 95 km to get there and see if i can get up it without putting a foot down. Yesterday I was walking before it even got very technical. I was just so exhausted!

I'm very much in the "lowest of the low gears, and it takes as long as it takes" camp.

Bamford Clough anyone?
Went a couple months back. It was erm, interesting.

I look forward to trying this, but not with the covering of leaves shown in that YouTube video.

Thinking about heading over to Hope for this on Saturday. Going to be a cold one. Current plan is to ride out/back for it, or at least back afterwards. First big(ish) ride of the year or some such nonsense.

Interesting, might have to see if I can get a pass for this.
