I've now admitted this is a bit small for me and purchased something else. Up for grabs is a legendary touring classic from 1987, in a rare lavender colour, which was offered only that year. Possibly the only one in the UK?
The aluminum frame rides lightly and features loads of mounts for racks. Originally a 27", now with 700c Weinmann wheels and 28c Michelin tanwalls. The fork is non-original but fits the frame pretty well. Despite shown here in a butchered state, the drop bars, levers, pedals and saddle are included in the sale (please refer to photos). Just needs a stem, front brake and brake cabling to have it running.
Condition is good considering age. The eye-catching paint still shines beautifully. Slight bubbling and chipping is present around the bb area. The longer wheelbase gives it a cadillacy character, yet it's not a tank by any means. The low bb works fine in the city with the currently installed 170mm cranks. Would make a stylish commuter as is or a banging tourer/supple wagon worked on!
Would like to recoup some of the money I paid for it so listed for £220->£210. Reasonable offers considered from serious buyers. Viewings and collection from N1 only. Cheers!
