yes. LB rims are pretty hard wearing, and rim brake rims generally last longer thant the disc mob argue.
even if you needed to replace one rim at the cost of 160£ + some pads ? after a few years, the guy next door with discs will have bought one pair of rotors for 80£, more expensive pads and will have bought new 600£ wheels anyway ... twice : )

Thanks folks! Will use the LB ones to begin with. I think im going to keep to soft pads. I cant afford £500 on rims very often...
