What is this? Its in our room. It seems some sort of TV cable right? Can I just cut the wire and stuff it in without risk of dying or do I need to be more careful than that?

Looks like a TV aerial point. Could possibly be for a radio aerial too.

Looks like two cables so if you cut that you might find another TV aerial point further down the chain doesn't work anymore. It should be safe to cut but then how are you going to watch Strictly Come Dancing?

We just watch strictly on our phones lying in bed facing away from each other
